I bought these lamps specifically for artwork lighting (2700K) so you can see why the ability to adjust the brightness is so important. Those lights flicker horribly when you drop the level below about 50%. Also, they're slightly longer than my halogen bulbs, causing them to protrude a bit more beyond the eyeball, resulting in a noticeably harsher light. very disappointed.
