After 1 year of use it still shines like the day I received it. When I first received it, it was packed in a nice box. When I opened it I figured it would last a few weeks at most (it looked pretty flimsy and I tend to break all my jewelry anyway). I put it on and found it surprisingly durable. It appeared to be of high quality and I really managed not to break it. I've also received many compliments. At first I was concerned from reading reviews that it was too small, but for me it was loose on even the shortest hook. It still sparkles (I shower with it and all) and none of the gems have fallen off. Overall I am very satisfied and it has become one of my favorite decorations :)
