Not suitable for hanging a floating shelf
I realize this isn't meant for a floating shelf so maybe nobody else is trying it for this. But if so, then you don't need it. This is a complete failure. The loose fit of the bracket, one piece against the other, causes the shelf to tilt WAY too far to be useful. I needed the strength of the bracket, there wasn't enough shelf depth for the shelf method. I will have to return. In order for these mounts to work for you, your product needs to be tilted slightly.
