I have a few projects to complete that require a nail gun and stapler. I didn't have either of these tools and was looking for a tool for both. I searched the internet for a cordless combo option, preferably from Milwaukee or DeWalt, but couldn't find any of those brands that made an 18 gauge combo stapler for nails and crowns. That led me to the KIMO 20V 18 Gauge Cordless Stapler/Nailer Kit. After reading Kimo's marketing materials for this product on Revain, reading the reviewers' comments, and learning more about Kimo, I was confident it would be a worthwhile purchase backed by a company with great customer service. I bought the product from Revain and received it within a few days. All items in the corresponding picture are included in the box. When I received it I was excited to hammer some test staples/nails into the piece of wood. Initially the gun wouldn't fire, but that was because I didn't install the clamps properly and I had to read the instructions first. Once I loaded the brackets correctly, everything worked great. This past weekend I was ready to take on my first job of hanging sheet pile on the wall of a 12" x 12" x 9" room with confidence. I used 2" 18 gauge stud nails and adjusted the countersink to the depth I wanted and I was done. It took me two days to hang the jaws tongue and groove and each day I started with a fully charged battery , which was enough for all the work.A day of shooting hundreds of nails.I appreciated the battery indicator on the battery because at the end of the day I wondered how much I had left in the battery and it was only up to orange so I knew I was going to make it through the day.The weight of the gun wasn't a problem for me as I found it very easy to maneuver the gun into the chosen position allowing me to hammer in a nail.I did too appreciated the LED lights that turn on when you pull the trigger, but given that I was working in a lighted area I was wondering if I could turn that option off to save battery, but you can't turn them off.. and the two leds had no effect on the battery. Once I got stuck myself and then I switched from staples to nails and it ended up with an operator error and I was able to clear the jam quickly. I've never seen hundreds of nails fired and the only time it didn't fire was when I needed more nails. I am completely satisfied with this purchase and it meets all my needs. It appears to be a quality product that is built to last. I am very excited to start my other projects with this device and will consider Kimo for other wireless products in the future.
