Overview of the TW-5 and TW-6 torque wrenches

Medium could not be loaded. I have both TW-5 and TW-6 torque wrenches and would like to point out that you really need either both wrenches or probably a torque wrench with a longer continuous range. The TW-5 has a range of 26-132 in-lbs, the TW-6 has a range of 88-530 in-lbs. This means the TW-5 is great for small projects like tightening bolts on brakes, derailleurs, etc. For bottom bracket, pedal, or crank work, you will need a larger TW-6 wrench than procedures such as bottom bracket replacement requires 450 to 600 in-lbs of torque. Both instruments come with nice hard plastic clamshell cases and instructions. The TW-5 comes with a 1/4 to 3/8 drive converter as it is a 1/4 inch ratcheting torque wrench. Do not lend it to someone who does not know how to take care of a precision instrument. ;-) So far both have held up great and are a great addition to my tool collection. Craftsmanship Demands After too many snapped/broken screws and parts, they pay for themselves very quickly.
