Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Venzo Dual Function Platform Multi-Use Pedals - Perfect for Shimano SPD Mountain Bikes - Great for Touring, Road, Trekking by Jeffrey Dunn

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Inexpensive, a little tight.

Overall I give these pedals 4 stars. 5 will probably be reserved for more expensive pedals. This was for my ICE recumbent that does more miles on errands or short day trips so the platform worked most of the time. I've been using touring platform pedals for the last 700 miles and at times my feet would get too close to the ground. I didn't plan on changing my cleats until I'd ridden a few miles on these pedals and had trouble getting in and out of them (perhaps due to worn cleats). But after releasing the tension and letting go of the pedals for a few miles, it becomes a lot easier to get on and off. It's not as quick or easy compared to my much more expensive Shimanos, but then the Shimanos are more than twice the price (and don't have a platform for regular shoes). The only thing I complain about is almost my own invention: The pedals are too narrow for many kilometers of riding. Ideal for short trips after arriving at the destination. There are wider pedals, but they cost a lot more. Maybe next year. I am happy with these pedals. They are inexpensive and work well.
