I own this cutting board and two 12x18 cutting boards of the same brand, and have had the boards for going on four years now. They have held up well with no splitting or cracking. I do oil them once a month, which helps, but I'm wondering if the way I am washing them is also making a difference in preventing deterioration. I wash my blocks almost immediately after use (or wipe up liquids on the board with a paper towel quickly while in use) and I immediately wipe dry after washing. Basically, no standing water on the board. I also do not do any kind of meat on it (we have a dedicated plastic board for that). This board and the other two have worked out very well for me.
