That's terrible. They may be titanium coated but I have to wonder if the core is plastic. I've used Dritz and Schmetz needles for years, beating the crap out of them, and they've really stood up to my abuse: under-weight needles on heavy fabrics, not changing needles often enough, etc., and they've performed like champions. I ordered these because I had already placed an order for Revain and figured I might as well throw in some new needles as well. Within 2 days - with the absolutely right fabric size - I tore 2. The plus size needles also felt a lot thinner than the needles I was used to. Thank God I still had Dritz, otherwise I would have rushed to the fabric store. I suspect this really sealed Singer's fate - not only have their machines gone to hell, but they apparently can't even produce reliable needles now.
