I saw a few comments where people had a very difficult time putting on sponges. I have tried the soapy water method to no avail. If you look inside the foam tube you will see that the inner surface is relatively impenetrable. So I filled each tube with a full line of dish soap (no extra water) and just squeezed them, which took about 20 seconds of effort each time. I really like the stripes and have attached some photos. I have the 31.8 cm version and the handlebars flex a bit. I'm glad I bought it and would recommend it if you're looking for something more comfortable.
