Excellent steering wheel; Use handlebar tape instead of foam.

Great steering wheel at a great price. Only a few rides but I didn't notice any of the kinks mentioned by another reviewer. Phenomenal control and comfort thanks to multiple hand positions. I'm using them in a new e-bike build. I also added a riser and a longer stem. I put on lizard skins instead of the foam pads that came with the bike. I think any bar tape looks better and performs better in the long run.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Very expensive

Exactly what I was looking for. Offers a variety of riding positions.

A few weeks ago I installed these handlebars on my old Kona mountain bike to give me a more upright riding position. The hardest part of the installation was removing everything from the old steering wheel. I tested several different positions before tightening everything up. The included rubber pad slipped slightly when I sprayed it with isopropyl alcohol and held up great. All in all a really solid buy. I am also thinking about upgrading my e-bike.

It's ok to run

. No problem. Pretty hard too. A small kink at the ends, but certainly nothing unreasonable or scary. Dish soap and a little water on the stick is great for putting on a sponge. I've also found that if you soak the sponge yourself, it's softer and a lot easier to clean. It dried for an hour or two, and after everything was dry the smoothness disappeared. But now I think a good rain can bring back the sponge slipping on the grate. . . A bad thing and I might want to replace the sponge with shock

Pros
  • . High marks for support and durability from testers.
Cons
  • speed

Installation guide: Cycling

I saw a few comments where people had a very difficult time putting on sponges. I have tried the soapy water method to no avail. If you look inside the foam tube you will see that the inner surface is relatively impenetrable. So I filled each tube with a full line of dish soap (no extra water) and just squeezed them, which took about 20 seconds of effort each time. I really like the stripes and have attached some photos. I have the 31.8 cm version and the handlebars flex a bit. I'm glad I…

One of the best upgrades for my touring bike!

I've tried drop bars, flat bars and other multi-position bars, but this one is the best for comfort and ergonomics. Let's face it - it looks silly, but who cares when you're comfortable for hours. It was an easy and affordable upgrade, and it took about an hour to install and move all the controls. I have a 25.4 stem and the handlebars feel stiff enough for my use. I ended up using bar tape instead of the foam that comes with the bars. The foam seemed a bit cheap to me. Conclusion: If you are…

Great for hiking, too wide for the street

The quality of this handlebar was good, not too flimsy. The massive handlebar feels too wide, 600mm was too wide to ride in parking lots, roads or bike lanes. I ended up hitting a telephone pole in the middle of the sidewalk, knocking the poles aside. The front tire slipped off the pavement and I fell in the middle of a busy road. People stopped cars, helped me up, and put bikes back on the sidewalk. Traffic resumed and I appeared to have disrupted traffic of cars and trucks for less than 2…

Will never look at drops again

Includes two corners I have five hand positions on this handlebar. They look a bit silly at first but I love these bars as my rides get better and my hands never hurt. BTW this is a cheap version of the trekking poles and you can feel it, I can feel some flex on the poles but for me it's what I wanted so I like it. Foam is terrible but I recommend you use it. for a while to see how you feel because no matter how you try to wrap these bars, some part will always wrap wrong. Depending on your…
