Medium weight Very comfortable shorts - nice material. Washes easily and dries fairly quickly. The pockets are right where you need them and the position of the right hand phone pocket on the hip is nothing short of inspirational. It's ready to hand when you need it, certainly doesn't get in the way when you get in and is still there, especially in the car. All pants must have a cell phone pocket. Maybe the one on the left is also something for the southern paws among us. The legs are of medium length and do not impede movement like many of the longer ones. All in all an inspiring wardrobe addition: I've ordered two more. Really inspiring clothes.
