Order 2 sizes larger than you think

I bought a large for my 50lb challenge and it was WAY small. The quality seemed good and it's a cute sweater, but I'll be back and ordering an XXL (which seems odd for a medium sized dog). I also suspect that because it's 100% cotton it will shrink in the wash so I say order 2 sizes bigger than you think. It's a bit big but it works and she loves it! So pretty! The back is a bit long but I just tuck it in.
