Amazing replacement

available After using the Netgear FR328S for almost 7 years it started having crashing problems and I had to unplug it sometimes several times a day. I've searched everywhere for a replacement product but so far the reviews and reliability have not been favorable for products in my price range for home use. After reading many reviews about the quality and reliability of the WNDR4000, I decided to give it a try. Set up was easy for me despite being a huge computer geek and having worked with electronics and computers for most of my adult life. I immediately noticed improved web browsing responsiveness as well as much better download speeds. I didn't actually buy this for the wireless part as I have CAT6 cables running throughout the house and pretty much everything is plugged in, but my company laptop as well as my daughter's laptop are used for wireless only and I am very happy with them Perfomance. . This device is great because you can turn the wifi on and off with a button on the device or via the remote's web page. However, I turn the wifi off when no one is around, and the last time my daughter got home from college, I forgot to turn it back on. Don't worry as she keeps the network cable in her laptop bag and can still connect to the network. I was smarter with her and told her that a wired connection would probably be a lot faster anyway and she said that she thinks it would work better with a wireless connection. She might be right, but either way, if she's happy with it, you can bet it's top notch! I'm really tempted to buy another one of these to keep on the shelf in case this one eventually goes bad, but I think it might be overkill so I'll refrain from doing so for now. If you're looking for a very good quality product that offers great wireless and wired connectivity, this is about as good as I've found. With gigabit wired speeds and all manner of wireless support that seems flawless to me, this has to be the best of them all.
