Review on A29 Solid Rubbed Bronze Finish by Pete Deutsch

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Solid, nice design, but other screws would be preferable.

I also bought the John Wright cast iron doorstop but overall I prefer the A29 version which is also cheaper now. Screw A29 is concealed and mounted in the middle. As another reviewer mentioned, I didn't use the screw that came with it. It is somewhat long and narrow, with a flat head. Even after pre-drilling the holes I thought the assembly would be too risky as my heads sheared off or broke. It can also be difficult to remove if painting is required. The heads are hidden anyway. Also note that the base of this stop has a small ledge (where it meets the wall). I'm guessing the idea is to stop this from spinning, but that means you'll end up with another hole. It seems a little pointless to me.
