Review on GE WR50X10069 Refrigerator Defrost Thermostat by Rusty Smith

My freezer was having trouble defrosting. You will see ice build up on the back of the freezer. After watching a number of YouTube videos to identify the problem I bought this and a heater/lamp to fix the problem. This is very easy to do if you feel comfortable enough. It is recommended to do this when the freezer is empty as you will need to turn it off and open the freezer to melt the ice on the back. You can use a heat gun or hair dryer (it takes a lot longer) to melt the ice if you want to do it quickly. When all the ice is gone, it's very easy to replace.
