I have had a VIQUA TROJAN E4 UVMAX system installed throughout my home for 4 years. The first two years I replaced the UV lamp with a replacement TROJAN brand lamp and had no problems, the last two times I used this lamp. TROJAN Technologies specializes in water treatment systems and technologies. I wish I had done my homework before trusting this product. Both of the LSE lamps were burning/melting at the ends when I took them out. The last lamp I installed lasted 90 days and then burned out We noticed more frequent odor issues in the water and then my family and I have noticed a higher rate of illness (particularly gastrointestinal) lately which has prompted me to to look at the (almost new) lightbulb. Now we don't have water until I get a new replacement TROJAN brand bulb. DO NOT use non-standard lamps in your UV water treatment system. $80 savings a year is wasted if I have to change filters more often and then we get sick.
