Perfect for what I need it for - measuring conveyor speed. Compared to my full-size tachometer, it shows much less variation in readings from the same conveyors. My only complaint is that there's no way to hold that little rubber cap up (although I don't use it for radial measurements). ). I tried sticking it on and it still came off. Again, I don't need that, but I don't like having spare parts for things. One suggestion would be a bracelet. The first one I bought was knocked out of my hands by a box going by on a conveyor belt at 540 fpm (it shouldn't have been there). I lost it because of the length of the conveyor and the high speed of the sorter in the DC. My husband drilled two holes in the body of my second wheelbarrow and threaded a camera strap through them. The next time I measured the same conveyor (you guessed it), another litter box came up and hit me in the arm. Thanks to the wrist strap, I didn't lose it.
