They definitely do the job! However, I was nervous about breaking cheap, brittle looking/feeling plastic ball sockets when trying to open the clamp. Suggest finding a peep or flat head small enough to fit in the slot provided. I started with one that was too big and I feel like I almost broke it. The clips didn't "stay open" on their own. I had to push a small flat head into the clip to hold it open while sliding it over the ball joints. It also took a bit of twisting the ends to get them in the right orientation. In general, it took no more than 5 minutes. While they work as intended, we'll update the review after a while to comment on durability. Edit: 6 months later and they're still as solid as day one.
