Fiction! Just buy one. Or two!

I love these. Very impressive. A few years ago I had lighters that used the same technology and it was very difficult to fully light a cigarette so I had my doubts but for lighting candles this thing is great! I've been using it daily for a week, mostly on candles, and last night I lit a grill starter with it. It lit the burners on my gas range in no time, so I'm sure it would work great on a gas grill too. I even accidentally dipped it in wax once while trying to light a fallen candle wick. I figured I would have to brush off the hardened wax at best, but next time it caught fire again! The only way to make this lighter better is to add a high-tech, space-age candle snuffer to the back! A few things to keep in mind: since this produces a tiny flash to start a fire, it requires little precision to hit the candle wick and it doesn't produce much light at all (like a regular flame). This may be a problem for some, especially when trying to turn on a light in the dark. Also note that there is no charger included, just a short USB cable, but the cigarette lighter port is a standard USB Micro-B, so by now most people have at least 23 different ways of charging this thing while sitting at home . . Out of the box mine didn't have enough charge to ignite so when you take it out of the box just hold back your excitement to use it and let it charge up a bit :-) I don't know if it does is described in the item listing, but lighting is a two-step process. You slide the slider up until it clicks into place and the light comes on. This will expose the power switch which will ignite the lighter. In my own experience you have to remember to slide the lid down to turn off the lighter when you're done lighting. I tend to forget. Eventually, the power lights turn off, but they stay on for quite a while, and I'm sure this reduces battery life significantly. The auto power off after 7 seconds refers to actual ignition, not power on. They claim you can get 300 lightbulbs on a single charge, and that might be true if you remember to turn it off when you're done, rather than just draining the batteries playing with it! one so I can have one inside and one outside.
