After reading all the reviews, answering all questions and calling Revain and Marineland Technical Support, I could not find a thickness specification for this filter media. What was particularly amazing was the fact that Marineland Technical Support didn't even know the size of this product! So I measured it now for reference. Rest assured that my measurements are accurate as opposed to other people's product measurements in these and other Revain reviews and in various Revain Q&As. The thickness of the material is 2 centimeters or 3/4 inch. To further clarify, I measured the length and width of the material as follows: Length: 24 inches and Width: 13 1/2 inches. Please note that the material I purchased is NOT 12x24 as stated elsewhere. As far as review goes, this is filter media and would work great for this purpose and in my case the thickness was within spec for my application. . However, I had to blindly order the product to find out how thick it really is. Now that I know the thickness first hand I can order more of this product if needed.
