Review on πŸ’ͺ Efficient Pitman Arm Puller: OTC (8150) Conical Design for Easy Removal by Brennan Buckley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Robust part, ready to use.

I bought this puller after doing a lot of research to find which one would work best for pulling the lever on my 2005 Dodge Ram 2500. I've looked into "C-style" pullers on other vehicles. and knew her shaky reputation. I'm a professional mechanic and I rarely buy a cheap tool or feel like it won't hold up to normal wear and tear. This puller worked perfectly. I have several other OTC tools and while the newer tools are a little inferior in quality, this puller is reminiscent of older products that have held up great. I was concerned about the puller that was installed between the bipod arm and the steering box, but it was thin enough to insert with a light hammer blow. I had to apply quite a bit of torque to the ejector bolt to remove the bipod arm, so a slight rounding of the threads was to be expected. The most important thing when using a bolt puller is to keep the threads lubricated. This puller will be relevant for a long time. Definitely recommended!
