It was a little awkward to use as my valve springs were larger than intended. This is not a problem with the tool itself, you simply hold the tool in the center of the spring detent, twist and remove the detents. I don't repair cars for a living so it would be hard to justify the cost of a snap on tool. This worked great with the Toyota OHC head and I'm sure in the future when I take it off the shelf I'll be taking it off the shelf to do some valve work on my next project. No real complaints about performance and price enough for a scrap shop mechanic who can afford it and doesn't have to explain much to his wife.
