Write bike thieves!

Two very nice and very expensive bikes were stolen from my garage last year. That's the downside of living in a big city. The first time the bike wasn't locked at all; The second time it was locked with a cheaper Abus lock. Surveillance cameras in the garage recorded the thief picking the cheaper lock in about 30 seconds. This lock has not yet been tested. But it has a lot of features that shouldn't stop anyone from cracking this thing. Unlike cheaper padlocks, there is no way to slide the tarp back to access the metal underneath. The part where the key is inserted is angled and complicated, so nobody with a pen cap will take it off. And the metal is heavy, very heavy. So if someone tries to cut it, it will be busy for a long time. On the downside, it's REALLY heavy, so it's not the kind of cable you're going to need. take on a bike ride. Better leave it in the car or in the garage. And the lock is difficult even with a key. It takes a few minutes to set it in properly and wiggle it to open the lock. Overall, though, I'm looking forward to testing it against the next thief that comes along!
