Purchased to replace an existing GE reverse osmosis unit during a kitchen renovation. Most companies make changing filters a difficult task. Aquasana filters are designed to literally unscrew - even the reverse osmosis membrane has a screw-on design. This is a huge improvement over devices where the membrane is placed on top of the assembly! Another plus point: I was able to order the device in the right color to match my bronze colored kitchen faucet. A nice touch that saved me the trouble of looking for a separate reverse osmosis faucet in the right color. Make sure you have room for a storage tank (as with any reverse osmosis system) and I had to install filters on the left side of the cabinet since it was disposed of in the far right cabinet (which has a 70/30 sink). I needed some extra piping to complete the installation. I also ordered a Watts Premier 164020 DLA-D Drain Line Plumbing Adapter for direct disposal of the reverse osmosis drain (Photo 3) which made the installation very quiet in operation. will change the taste. I chose not to use it as I prefer pure H20. But it's there if you want it. I've had the device for 6 months and I'm VERY glad we chose this system. Our aquasana looks great, works and tastes great!
