Review on 🚗 Dorman 904-502 Diesel Injection Control Pressure Sensor 2-Pack: Fits Ford / IC Corporation / International Models by Louis Mechtak

Unfortunately the original sensor was bad but they offered a hot replacement that works great. Things like that happen. But VERY IMPORTANT to note: the wires on the pigtail are color coded - blue/red/black which pretty much matches the truck's wiring harness (blue/red/dirty brown - almost black). It seems to be an easy connection. However, after much frustration, discarded codes and no start, and after studying the schematic on the internet, I realized that the red on the pigtail should be connected to the dirty brown (almost black!) on the truck and the black on the pigtail should be connected to the red be connected to the truck! When seeing the same colors, it's natural to assume they were created to match - a lesson learned for common sense! It would be a lot easier if the pigtail was either the exact same color(!) or had very different colored wires that needed to be routed like purple/green/white etc. The one that came loose is a good length - about 10- 12 inches, the connector fits snugly, seals well, and the wires were heat shrinkable and the wires were twisted. Good quality. Finally, after the replacement sensor is installed, the truck drives. Better than ever! Throttle response is similar to a petrol engine, the pedal feels lighter (works faster with less effort) and it shifts better. All round great solution. 5 stars for customer service and good product quality (minus the first bad sensor), 4 stars for stupid cable colors.
