This was exactly what I was looking for for my 40 gallon bearded dragon aquarium. Works without problems, but there is a strange lock. You have to turn the bulb all the way until you hear a click. The quirky part is that there are a few clicks. When first turned on, it caught fire for 5 seconds and went out. I read the reviews before buying and already had an idea of what to expect so I checked the side you put the bulb in and found I can still pull the bulb out so I did flipped them around until I saw the piece snapped them in place. I plugged it in, turned it on and haven't turned it off since. A vigorous twist is also required to lock the lamp in place. It feels like you're about to snap a lightbulb, but they're a lot stronger than you'd expect.
