A little confused by the high price of Festool blades. I understand that I bought a BMW saw, but I didn't want to be taken to the dry cleaner for every blade. I needed a fast and fast saw blade for cutting plywood, so I settled on a fine 24 tooth saw blade. I can rip almost as fast as pushing a saw along a rail. The saw doesn't make any grunting noises, the stress is very low because the blade is so sharp and aggressive. I blew the birch 3/4 without hesitation and still got a clean cut on the other side of the blade cut. If I used them with sacrificing spall protection, it would be a clean line. Given the price of this blade, I am completely satisfied. You can spend as much as you want on Festool blades, but I can buy these 3 for 1 and resharpen them at almost no cost, giving me years of fine cutting at almost no cost. Now I'm looking at 48 teeth. Blades, I could knock a Festools blade completely out of this saw.
