Awesome but I want more features!

***Updated January 30, 2018*** My father now uses this clock exclusively to keep track of his day. He no longer asks me what day it is, but goes into the bedroom to check on himself. He complains that the screen is too bright when he lies down for an afternoon nap. If there is a way to dim the screen please let me know, otherwise DayClox may add this feature to their next model. I still think the screen is too cluttered or compressed with information; The bezel could be narrower, making the screen larger. A second larger clock would be a great addition to use as a wall clock in the kitchen or dining room. *** Bought for my 84 year old father who has a hard time admitting he has a memory problem. He first complained that he didn't need such a thing, then he complained about the brightness of the screen, so until he fell asleep, and then he said that the brightness of the screen was ideal; no glare, and the clock also works as a night light. On the third day, he thanked me repeatedly and told me that he had trouble remembering things "sometimes". This device has not been configured. Connected, date and time are set automatically. The packaging has also been reduced to a minimum, which is good for the environment. I chose a red, white, and blue background, not out of patriotism, but to visually segment the information. The display is just the right size to be seen from different distances and angles, but I wish there was an option to hide some of the information as the screen is too cluttered. Another option would be to change the screen image, maybe show the day of the search and the time of day on the same screen held for maybe ten seconds, then the screen can switch to the actual date including the day, month, and year. for ten seconds or so. In my opinion this would share the information and make it easier for the person with dementia to fully understand the information without feeling overwhelmed, a problem that worries some people with dementia. The clock completely prevented my father from asking the time of day. and this allows him to maintain his independence and avoid embarrassment. All in all an incredibly valuable and reliable purchase and I will be purchasing a second one for a different part of his home. DayClox may include an add-on that can display appointment information such as B. Time, place or medication schedule for the day. The patient or caregiver can enter information via a smartphone or computer at any time. This allows the person to receive visual or auditory reminders throughout the day without being overwhelmed by too much information at once. If anyone knows of such a program or device that is already on the market, please let me know. I would be very grateful.
