I just needed a cheap scanner that would turn off the check engine light. I ordered this and that's what I got, a cheap scanner that worked for the first 6 weeks I had it. Simply put, plug it into the car diagnostic port, start the engine, then read the codes, write them down and then look them up online as the codes won't tell you where they came from. This is only useful for removing codes appearing in the ENGINE SERVICE SOON section. Money is better spent on a much better item than this, as I said, . does not provide much information about problems, only gives code. I would even question some of them when using this device. But I researched them on the internet. managed to remove them from my toolbar, . That's it. It seems like I bought a magazine, . just for the free coupon which can be at the bottom of the pages. From a technical perspective, . if you don't need a simple item that destroys codes for 4-6 weeks, . Keep searching. My car was sold to a junkyard. It would be nice to put this unit in your garage cupboard for future use, not to be. It's not worth wasting space on a better scanner.
