Review on WIMAXIT M1560CT3: Portable Non-Glare Touchscreen with HDMI and IPS Compatibility by Carlos Correa

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good colors, accurate touch, ultra light

Generally a good screen. I use it and will continue to use it as a tertiary display for daily runners. The product's name says it's anti-glare, but that's not possible. The entire front is flush with the glossy and reflective surface. When you look at dark images, you also see a ghostly image of yourself. The screen protector came pre-installed from the factory, which perhaps explains this a bit. The display colors are quite good, but not suitable for mission-critical color work. The default settings have too much contrast and all the highlights fade too quickly. Decreasing the contrast by one fixed it. Black levels are weak and deteriorate as the brightness increases. Colors aren't distorted, but a little play with saturation may be needed. Looks good with the adjusted settings. It would look even better with a color calibrator. It might just be me, but it seems like plugging it directly into a PC with no additional power supply changed the color scheme a bit. When connected via (mini)HDMI, 10 bits per channel are supported. The touchscreen is as expected. It's a 10-point capacitive device and fairly responsive. The screen is already covered with a protective film and has a slightly rough texture that makes it easier to use. Without the extra sheet, it's likely to be very slippery, which some prefer. I haven't fingerprinted it yet either, but I don't seem to even fingerprint my phone. The speakers are quiet. Speech is easy to understand and distortion-free at maximum volume except for the tiny and tinny speakers. There's a 3.5mm connector, meaning there's a DAC/amp built in, but I haven't checked. The VESA mount is very useful. This is a 75x75 mounting template approximately 6mm deep. I had some M4*12mm screws ready. On the hand, it is very convenient to use - just tilt back a little and touch.
