Review on ๐ŸŒก๏ธ AC3Z-5J213-B: High-Precision Exhaust Temperature Sensor for 6.7L Engines by Jacob Rasmussen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fixes Ford 6.7 Codes P2031, P2032, P2033, P2084, P2471, P2479, P242A, P242D, P246E, P0544 & P247B

I keep one of these in the glove box along with a 1mm -Invader oil. There are 4 of them along the exhaust line. Bank 1 Sensor 1 is closest to the engine, followed by sensor 2 which is to the right of the U-joint, 3 and 4 towards the rear axle. The fourth sensor is next to the flange and is the easiest to find and access. Apply some penetrating oil to the threads of the old one and let it sit for about an hour, you don't want to round it or break it trying to pull it out! There is a plastic plug that needs to be unplugged with a fingernail. If you just look at the new one you should be able to figure out how to remove the old one, but you'll have to do it "by feel" as they're all on top of the exhaust and you can't see them. Either way, they take 5 minutes to swap out and they only cost about forty dollars each, so it's not a big deal. I have had to replace 2 of these in the last 3 years. Below is the exact text from FORD TSB for these codes: TSB 13-10-110/03/136.7L - MIL ON DTCS P2031, P2032, P2033, P2471, P2084, P2479, P242A, P242D, P246E, P0544 AND/ORP247B - EGT FORD SENSOR REPLACEMENT: 2011-2012 F-Super DutyThe item replaces TSB 12-7-2 to update the title, problem description and service procedure. 2012 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L diesel engine may have a Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) if any or all of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) are present: P2031, P2032, P2033, P2471, P2084, P2479, P242A, P242D, P246E, P0544 and/or P247B ACTION Follow the maintenance procedure steps to correct the condition.
