Review on πŸ”₯ Woodland Home Wood Burning Kit: Adjustable Temperature Pyrography Pen with 27 Tips, Cutting Blade, Stencils, and Case - Ideal for Beginners and Experts by Summer Hendricks

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Fur like it, but not impressed.

Look, today everyone wants you to rate their product. Sometimes I'm skeptical, but. So here it is. I looked a lot before buying. Bought on the reviews and this damn case. Because it looked beautiful. The case is good, but it seems that some peaks were just stuffed there. The stand is made of stamped sheet metal and is not very durable. You have to bend it to use it. So if you're packing it in a case, it doesn't require a lot of bending. The temperature controller seems to be of questionable quality and even adjusts itself while I'm using it. The grip is acceptable, the device's waste heat is tolerable, but plenty. The tip selection is probably the best thing about the kit. except that ONE IS BROKEN OFF IN THE STICK. Here's the thing, I haven't burned very long but I read and study before I start anything. I removed the hot tip with pliers (which is acceptable in the wood burning world) and replaced it with another cold tip (also acceptable). I put the hot tip in water (acceptable and recommended). So no big deal, right. Not correct. When I tried to remove the second tip to replace it, the threads in the stick broke. Boom. Useless. The beauty of savings is free replacements and free returns. Rating is based on actual usage, not because I'm angry or upset. The product works well and has many good features. But I don't think the materials are good enough even for basic wood burning techniques. Hobby shop torches cost twice as much with fewer tips, so this would be a good starter kit for the artistic kid.
