Review on 💦 Stay Hydrated and Healthy with PUR Water Filter Pitcher Filtration System, 7 Cup, Clear/Blue by Opal Holmberg

I chose this model after comparing other brands. I liked that polyurethane filters actually filter out a lot more than competing brands filters, which is the main reason for buying in the first place. However, after a very short time I understand why it is so much cheaper. .The material is a very thin plastic that feels almost brittle. Every time I pick up a jug by the handle, I worry that it might break under the weight of the water inside. The lid has no mechanical connection to the jug and simply sits on a thin strip at the top. . It's very fluffy and doesn't stay put, so I have to keep a hand on the lid when pouring to make sure it doesn't come loose. I could maybe live with a jug just owning these items, but the most frustrating thing is that the materials from the filter itself (presumably the activated carbon that most filters use) actually end up in the drinking water. I have not yet received an answer from PUR customer service regarding this. While I suspect it's not harmful, it definitely shouldn't get into the water.
