Ready to use. Everything seems to be made of metal. Simply put on the grinding wheel and tighten it with the included wrench. I removed the honing wheel, then turned on the machine and sanded the rubber drive wheel lightly to improve traction and prevent slipping. This thing is amazing! I look forward to sharpening my collection of vintage planes and chisels with them.
