I just replaced an old Airzound I had for a few years but the hose rotted due to weather or exposure to chemicals. In the time I've used them it's become pretty clear that unlike any other type of horn/alarm, motorists will respond to this horn as intended. This shocks them and causes them to immediately stop any stupid maneuver they were doing, bringing them back to reality. It's not just about volume, it's about sounding like you're about to be hit with half a guitar. Ringing and beep-beep, yelling or yelling do not have the same response. In the world of road cycling, one of the concepts is to look big. Auditorically, it makes you huge. DO NOT use this in the park to get dog walkers out of the way. This is for your call or a polite "links". This is for the car driving blindly in your way and breaking through its inadvertent blindness or road noise/stereo. Highly recommend, although I'd like to see a version with a remote switch mounted that allows for more horn targeting. I've fitted it to my recumbent trike and have used it on other recumbents that don't have handlebars in a horizontal plane. But for the price, it does what it's supposed to do better than anything I've come across in many decades of cycling.
