I like to put this on one of my kitties to prevent her from running off for days like she did once-had me worried sick until the neighbor returned her. Seems the neighbor's little girl wanted a kitten, saw mine walking in the pastures behind our house & took her home & kept her in a dresser drawer when her mother was around. Anyway, to prevent my little kitten from running off again, I simply put this harness & leash on her & while she walks around the garden, yard or work area, it drags behind her, somehow communicating to her that she cannot run off & if she gets too far away, I can easily step on the leash to stop her. That was last summer & she's since been spayed & is almost 1 year old, she has learned to stay close to home, so I haven't felt to use it for this purpose any longer, but I have trained her to walk with me using the harness (though sometimes she doesn't & just flops to the ground). The harness is easy to adjust. My little female is a very small cat & her litter mate is a very large (neutered) male & the harness can be adjusted to fit either of them.
