First let me mention that I have tried cheaper ND filters on the market and believe me that many of them are not good. Many of them do not use glass, but the optically inferior polycarbonate. The Anafi Parrot has one of the best image quality cameras on the consumer market. So why waste footage on cheap plastic? You can ask me the same thing, and the reason I originally went the cheaper route is because I've heard a lot of people complain that these filters still cause suspension errors when run before initialization during boot time installed, although Freewell claims they don't cause gimbal errors. and they could be safely installed when the drone was powered off. This was very important to me as I didn't want to mount these filters with the gimbal on as there is a chance the motors will fight you and increase motor wear. Anyway I put the filter on and turned on the drone and to my disappointment I also had a gimbal error issue so I turned it off. I read Freewell's statement that they fit snugly. Though I thought I had them all the way in, I decided to push a little harder and made sure to go all the way through the filter and apply pressure to make sure it was all over. To be honest I didn't feel like either side was going ahead, but I decided to set it on fire again. This time everything worked out and there are no errors! These filters are very dense so I guess it's not about just putting them on and that's it. It is recommended to massage them in all corners to ensure the filter is fully inserted from all sides. Another thing I really like about this filter is that it comes in a very nice case. It fits the filters snugly and snugly, but also provides easy access to remove them. All in all a great product that anyone serious about film should have.
