Spot welded a sub C battery for a dust collector battery pack and it worked great on thinner nickel bands, probably not as well on thicker materials as I did. experimented with thicker straps. It makes me a little nervous about the device turning on and draining the battery to about 1/2-3/4 of a charge after a week of inactivity, so I keep it in a thick metal piggy bank and just keep it in the oven in case these liquid polymer batteries spontaneously ignite. Read some scary reviews on these types of batteries so better safe than sorry as I have personally seen lithium ion batteries explode like rocket engines.
