Be careful and know what you are buying.

This cable has a USB Type-C connector on both ends. This is good because this connector can be plugged in without worrying about its orientation. Just line it up with the connector and click. It works. It also supports fast or fast charging (15W @ 5V, 3A). Please note that not all devices support fast charging with these settings, but this is probably normal for many phones. It is also USB 2.0 and supports data transfer at 480 Mbps. These days, however, these are fairly low specs and many newer devices run at higher data rates. This cable is well made and even looks good (why I bought it instead of those ugly cables). What it isn't is a USB 3.0 Gen 1 or Gen 2 cable, so it doesn't support 5Gb/s (5Gb/s), 10Gb/s (10Gb/s), or even 20Gb/s (20Gbps). This is not a Thunderbolt 3 cable, so you cannot control your monitor with this cable. It looks the same as those other cables that support higher transfer rates, but it only transfers at USB 2.0 speeds (480Mbps), so it's slow by comparison. Don't use this to transfer data to hard drives or especially SSDs if you need faster speeds. If your new laptop comes with a fancy USB Type-C port that promises Thunderbolt 3 data transfer speeds, USB 3.1 Gen 2 transfer speeds, or even USB 3.1 Gen 1 transfer speeds, don't buy this cable for this device. It doesn't offer the speeds that these other ports can and will give you slower data transfer speeds than what your device is capable of and what you paid your money for. While it may seem obvious at first glance, people tend to forget these details a few months after their purchase and opt for a new cable. This is a great cable for what it does.

Pros
  • 60W high-speed charging
Cons
  • So far so good
