First of all, it never "bypassed" a failed battery and provided accurate voltage and current readings. It's bad now. As you can see from the photo, one of the wires came loose from the terminal. That shouldn't be a big problem, right? It is covered by a guarantee. Upon my request for repair or replacement after only 5 months of use, the service department offered a discount on a new tester. It is up to you to decide whether this is a suitable solution. I refuse. Edit: Customer service offered a full replacement. When a company stands behind a product, it's easy to recommend it.
