A 20-year-old Galaxy fan suddenly stopped working after a few weeks of operation in the summer. I found that the thermal fuse in the motor had blown. The motor windings didn't look burnt so it looked like they could be repaired. I found these fuses that had the exact same physical dimensions and exact P/N markings as the old fuse, so I ordered them. I put 1 new fuse in and reassembled the fan and it worked again. Just in time for the late heat of the season. The fan worked 24/7 for about a week without any issues. I was expecting that if it really overheated, the fuse would blow again and it would be time to replace it. But so far everything seems to be fixed.
