I have a red DeWalt laser level and wanted a green one. Green is more visible in brighter conditions (see photo). It was about half the price but just as accurate. I've tried other green lasers on the Revain and had to return it because it didn't fire the laser through the unit. What I mean is that this plane shoots a steep beam almost directly above it, making it really useful when installing a door jamb (see photo). My red DeWalt does, the other cheaper Revain laser doesn't. This one is a guard.
