update after almost 2 months of use: while covering the bottom helps using a second cage coat to cover the top it was very very useful for keeping birds seeds , feathers and feces from flying all over the place!π You have no idea how relieved I am. I plan to buy two more because I like to wash them (use a cloth bin for delicate items like hosiery so they don't tear in the washer or dryer) because they get soiled with feces. Now I no longer step on semen or feces when I walk into my office and everything is well preserved until I clean it. I started vacuuming everyday to make cleaning easier. I also use a wire brush (which you use for the grate) to clean the bird cage faster. Finally, in winter I attach a thin scarf to the back of the birdcage to keep my budgies warmer as they are very sensitive to temperature changes and should ideally stay between 70-75 (can survive 60-80). both are two extremes to death and disease for parrots). My mother noticed that although the birds have porous clothing, they are still warmer with it. In the summer, because it is porous, a bird apron makes sense, because a fan from a distance makes sense to dissipate heat. Overall I'm very happy with this skirt except that I don't have a bottom cap. And one more thing: order a fan or an electronic device that shows you the temperature in the room, because it deviates from the outside temperature. I used to have 6 other parrots and I learned this lesson the hard way. You need to constantly monitor the temperature and see how your birds are doing! But this skirt is transparent and you can look at them and enjoy their activities! πUpdate: Still very useful, but even after trimming each side of the cage after dressing it every morning, a significant amount of seed comes out. under the cell. So I'm trying to figure out how to cover the bottom of the cage after I put this on. In addition, everything works well and it is easy to clean. I also washed and dried it to get rid of the bird droppings. I think having two is good to wash one and use the other. But I want to improve the design of the floor because I don't want to attract cockroaches or rats into my house. ------- For reference, I previously bought a 41.5 inch stackable iron parrot cage with movable stand. No cover was supplied and I've been looking for a bird apron for this large cage for many days with no success. To the point where desperation drove me to try making my own, which helped but was still very dirty and unsanitary. I was worried about attracting roaches and ants even though I cleaned several times a day because seeds were taped to my tattered birdcage skirt and it was very ineffective and messy. I added photos so you can see my before and after photos. This large cage bird skirt works, but if you use it as intended, you will have a HUGE mess in your home. So my advice is to turn the end of the fabric inside out at the end and somehow find a way to secure it so that if the seeds (or droppings, as the case may be) fall, it will stay in place until you release it. Then you can brush and clean. I have already done and used it so I find it very useful for keeping the birds clean and my office clean. If you just use it by tying it tightly around the cage, the bird seeds will still fall straight down and make a big mess, even if it's less than a mess that spreads in all directions. I have 7 parrots in a cage. I bought another birdcage skirt to clean and dry one and use them interchangeably. I am also very happy with this purchase because although I bought the light blue you can clearly see the birds through the flaps when it is stretched. This skirt is breathable. If these filthy birds manage to spill poop, I consider putting another skirt over the cage, although I'd rather not as I enjoy seeing them without the skirt over them. However, it's worth considering if you're desperate! My cage measures 40.6*24.2*6.9 inches if it helps others in terms of size. All in all, if you have a large birdcage, don't be shy and enjoy the clean environment! XD Intuitively easy to use and economical (adapted from my own failed hobbyist lobby creation). Just adjust the ends and flip them over so all the seeds don't fall to the bottom.
