we were desperate but didn't want to spend too much money on a cellphone tower. After a long research, we decided on the Surecall brand. Installation was easy as we were able to use the existing cable that ran into our home. The external Surecall antenna is about 50 feet from our home. We used the Surecall website help section to find our nearest cell tower which is about 1/2 mile away but surrounded by large government buildings. The first night we didn't notice any difference, but the second day we had service in our house! I'm guessing it took some time to pick up the signal? We have cell service from AT&T and are in a HORRIBLE coverage area. Due to construction, AT&T removed the cell tower in our area which was 1/4 mile away, and due to construction there were also problems with wireless communication. We had to fix it. Before that cell tower, we didn't have bars in our house. Now we have 2 bands and can make/receive calls. Since installing it, I've never missed a call or text. I am giving 4 stars because some of our calls have difficulty understanding the caller but MOST is clear. I recommend this product!
