We bought this for a 2016 BMW i3 and want to use it outdoors. Before purchasing we searched Amazon and found that Morec reports that their charger is waterproof and the pictures look great. We expected a solid product but found the ABS plastic sheet to be rough. The J1772 head is quite dense, it is very difficult to insert and extract. To make matters worse, the panel heats up during use, we doubt this will lead to a fire. We consulted an electrician and he told us that this material is not waterproof and should not be used outdoors at all. This charger will definitely not be used after a few uses.
