Installed on 18 F150 5.0. Overall quality is decent. Honestly, that's the first impression. I'm not very impressed at this price range. That's a lot of plastic for $420. The hardware is decent, I had shorted out a washer that I needed in a small hardware bag. I went for a dry filter and it seems to be of good quality. It should be easy to install. To be honest, I'm not a mechanic, but I have enough tools and knowledge to service my cars. I've installed 3 different intakes in the past and this one was the most difficult. It may have been a few cold beers drank during installation, but I did have a minor issue with the rubber grommets and aluminum hardware that attach the manifold hoses to the inlet pipe. So my advice would be to pay close attention to getting the right washers in the right places and getting the aluminum hardware in the right direction (uh huh) before everything is installed. I was about 90% complete, I realized my mistake and had to take everything back down to the bottom box, flip a few grommets and hardware and reinstall. And just be prepared to replace the small plastic clip on the manifold's smaller conduit. Removing it from the standard pipe will damage it and you will obviously need a new clip to reattach that smaller line to the new pipe. . The new clip must be included in the package. Haven't driven my truck yet but after I have I will be back to update this review on the difference in sound and performance. I can give 1 star. I hope it sounds good with my Magnaflow exhaust. I'm not expecting much gain, but K&N/Air Raid is asking for an additional 19 hp. I have a 3rd generation with a port, direct injection and a higher compression ratio so I might have a bit more gain. Let's see if the juice was worth the squeeze.
