I've used them for various things even holding a pipe for welding in making gates, horse troughs. Welding tube. .Repairing broken boxes. Installing door frames on animal cages and corners in cages. The list goes on, they work very well. The handle could be different but then I think it would be difficult to tighten it on a flat surface. I was concerned that they are not made in the USA, the low price usually means they break. But even the tubes I welded held them up perfectly. Not even the color caught fire! LOL you have a few burns. But they've held up and still work great and I'll be buying a few more. I'd say if you're doing a job that requires you to hold the square with one hand and connect the ends with the other hand, then use a third hand to weld, glue, or nail. :) They'll get the job done, but as always, test with an angle before welding, gluing, or nailing. Anything shorter than 24 inches or less was perfectly square. 72 inches or more, you can easily drag them out of square. Thank you for reading! Beast USA
