They go well with the Kawasaki KLR 650. They're not too difficult to assemble, but easy to tear off if you're not patient. The key for me was to spray them and the handle liberally with a solution of dish soap and water and keep them very wet at all times. Once you run them and gain about 50%, flip the outer part and put it on until the end by twisting it back and forth. If you try to pull it from the inside it will break. When the inside is completely flat, roll out the back half and smooth everything out. It may seem strange at first to have a thick, oversized grip, but you quickly get used to it. They compress easily so you can still hold the bike decently. I have probably medium sized hands for a man. For off-road use when engine vibration is not an issue, I prefer to take them off the bike. If I drove cross country for more than a short time, I would even take them off. But that's not why I bought it. I bought them to reduce engine vibration when cruising down the road at highway speeds. and they are great for that. My bike has a lot of handlebar vibration at 3800-4200 rpm (about 60-65 mph with my gear). Before I installed them, I would lose sensation in my right hand during a 30 minute commute to work without the help of a gas lock to give my hand a quick rest every few minutes. I no longer need or use the gas lock on the way to work. With them on the bike I can hold the throttle very lightly so I really don't feel any vibration at all and 30 minutes or more isn't a problem. I'm not sure if my throttle will work with them or they'll break, but I haven't ridden long enough to try. I don't know how durable they are, but I've already bought a replacement set when they break or wear out. If they last 2-3 weeks I would think they are worth the money in my case and I will buy more until I find something better. If you need something to keep your KLR-650 quiet on the freeway, I recommend trying these out. If you're driving tricky off-road sections where reliable traction is important, they might not be a good idea.
