Unfortunately you get less than what you pay for

I was delighted to receive them and installed them as soon as Revain delivered. Unfortunately, although I've done this many times with foam pads from other manufacturers, they tore apart in my hands even after being properly lubricated for installation. Not a huge expense but the product is made from waste material. Don't waste your time and money on this. Too bad because the seller delivered it to me quickly. Lesson learned. No more cheap motorcycle parts from China.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Vulgarity

So far so good with the controls

There are many different brands at Revain. These were the cheapest I could find. I wasn't sure if they would work, so I didn't want to pay a lot for them. I used hand sanitizer to oil the original pins and then put them on top of the original pins. They seem to be working really well. They give me a little more cushioning and make the grips a little bigger to better fit my large hands. If they wear out, they're not worth much, so not a huge loss. But now, so far so good.

Pros
  • Heavy duty construction
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Works as expected, more suitable for larger hands.

I left the packaging in the sun before installing it. Warm soapy water on the motorcycle grip and in the foam. The large outer lip on the original grip is problematic, but if you pinch off the dangling part and gently tug on the foam, it will work. Then I grabbed it and squeezed it a few times with a slightly slippery hand. The slightly stretched curve of the foam moves every time. Pressing the unset end while repeatedly pressing the set end worked well. Without tears. Holds tight after drying.

Pros
  • High test results for hold and durability
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Feels good but tears easily

The feel of these grips was phenomenal just to hold in hand before fitting. I was going to install them on my Rizoma sport grips and was halfway down when the left grip broke. I think I didn't use enough alcohol to lubricate the handle. I was more than willing to just buy another set but cheaper and lo and behold they are no longer available. It's a shame because it seemed like they were very comfortable with the handles. I have ordered another pair but they are not as soft as these. Maybe when

The product is good but I had a safety issue so I have to give it 3 stars

Product quality/price is good and I was surprised at how easy it was to install it on my Honda Rebel with just a small plate 1100 to install. soap/water and twist grip. What was especially great was that I didn't even have to shorten the length as it fit perfectly. So the quality of the product/installation was excellent. I rode it today and loved the feel and size. But I ran into a real problem with this grip in terms of safety. As I slowed I applied the front brake, the combination of theโ€ฆ

No Pup for Parts

These are not puppies but for half the price I should have tried and was not disappointed. I have a 2014 Honda CB1100 and through a previous purchase of puppies for my cruiser I have learned how to simplify the installation. I filled a bowl with very hot water and lots of dish soap (no need to overdo it) and let them soak for 15 minutes, which softens them up a bit. I took a long screwdriver to pry the end of the handle over the end of the rod and it slid right in. I used a towel to squeeze out

Better comfort than other brands but maybe less durability

Not exactly 5 stars. I have had other foam grips before that cost twice as much and honestly I find them a lot more comfortable giving this 4 stars but I think they will prove to be less durable. The added comfort comes from the fact that they are spongy and softer than more expensive brands, which I think will cause them to become more brittle. The other brand lasted me 3 years (garaged when not in use) and 22,000 miles in all weather before eventually starting to chip and crack. I think theyโ€ฆ

Very convenient. But read on to know more about the problem they solved.

I liked the ease of installation. Lather up the handles and they slide right in. When everything is dry, the new grips will not move. I like comfort. My hands hurt after a few hours of cycling without them. Thanks to a wider grip with them, the pain goes away. But I bought some popular and more expensive foam grips and they caused a problem on my bike. The problem was that when I pulled the clutch lever while the bike was in first gear, the grips were thick enough that the clutch lever switchโ€ฆ

Works well for KLR 650 - works really well for me!

They go well with the Kawasaki KLR 650. They're not too difficult to assemble, but easy to tear off if you're not patient. The key for me was to spray them and the handle liberally with a solution of dish soap and water and keep them very wet at all times. Once you run them and gain about 50%, flip the outer part and put it on until the end by twisting it back and forth. If you try to pull it from the inside it will break. When the inside is completely flat, roll out the back half and smoothโ€ฆ
