I bought my husband one (another) last year and have wanted one ever since. I have this one and it smells awful every time I use it. I figured it might just "explode" and stop smelling after a few uses, but it's still awful. It also gets stuck when I take the cup out. So I have to check again if it is really switched off. kinda dangerous. BUT the good news is that it keeps my coffee HOT and even warms it up if I forget it on the counter for a while. Just stick the thing on and it'll be warm again in a few minutes
